Six Short Stories. (The falling of the Dice Man: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Six Short Stories uses the codes of the comic strip to explore a notion dear to Gilles Barbier: the suspension of choice. The time he describes as the latent moment that precedes any choice (personified here by a Dice Man – a direct reference to Luke Rinehart’s novel : The Dice Man), when all options are still open. A virginal time when future acts are still powers, and which Gilles Barbier enjoys stretching out with childlike pleasure.
